ATT Mining Solutions

ATT Mining Solutions (ATTMS) is the dedicated mining division of Auto & Truck Tyres (ATT), providing specialised, multi-branded tyre solutions for surface & underground mining operations across South Africa. We work directly with mining companies, OEMs & contractors to deliver reliable products, technical expertise & integrated support for demanding operating environments.

Our comprehensive product portfolio includes new tyres for haul trucks, loaders, articulated dump trucks, graders, underground equipment, forklifts, light delivery vehicles & other critical site machinery. ATTMS also supports customers within the industrial, port, forestry & material-handling sectors with application-specific tyre, rim & fitment solutions. Our service extends beyond tyre supply. Through detailed mine site audits, site severity studies, TKPH analysis, heat studies, load studies & work capability assessments, our technical teams evaluate the factors influencing tyre performance. These insights allow us to recommend fit-for-purpose solutions that improve safety, optimise tyre life & enhance operational productivity.

ATTMS provides comprehensive on-site tyre management & maintenance programmes tailored to each operation. Services include proactive tyre monitoring, regular inspections, pressure management, load optimisation, performance reporting & technical support. This data-driven approach helps customers reduce cost per kilometre (CPK), improve tonne kilometre per hour (TKPH) performance & minimise unplanned downtime

Our off-site capabilities include specialised OTR tyre repairs, rim engineering, rim refurbishment, powder coating, tyre filling & OTR fitment. Tyre repairs are completed through controlled assessment, repair, curing & quality-control processes aligned with approved industry procedures. Our ISO 9001:2015-certified Rim Engineering Centre provides precision rim inspection, machining, repair & refurbishment services to support structural integrity, safety & reliable performance.

ATTMS also operates Africa’s only fully computerised tyre fill pump, offering Virgin ATT Core Fill & Crumb Fill solutions. These services provide enhanced puncture resistance, stability & safety for equipment operating in hazardous environments, while the Crumb Fill option incorporates recycled material to provide a more cost-effective & environmentally responsible alternative.

Through our cradle-to-grave tyre management approach, we maintain visibility across the complete tyre lifecycle, from product selection & commissioning to monitoring, maintenance, repair, refurbishment & responsible end-of-life management. Supported by specialised transport, fitment facilities & responsive breakdown assistance, this integrated model helps mines improve control, accountability & long-term value from every tyre asset.
